Hey hey – Eryn here…
So, if you’re new to my blog – thanks for visiting!
My background if you’re interested… Schooled in civil engineering, I started my previous career with aviation construction (runways/taxiways). Then, after the tragic September 11th, by way of funds shifting from new construction to security, I moved on to be in vertical construction, (way more interesting than civil) building houses, high rises, hotels, etc… My career took me from Pensacola, to Ft. Myers/Cape Coral, then finally to Key West, Fl. where my then, husband and I ran his construction company.
After almost 15 years in the industry, and the tanked economy, I found that clients were becoming meaner, developers more ruthless, people more skeptical towards us as builders overall… As ethical and trustworthy people, it was self defeating and disheartening and I became disillusioned with the industry as a whole…
In the midst of all this, my marriage fell apart and it didn’t really feel right to continue working together. I somehow knew I had to break free from the construction industry and that it was no longer the path for me to follow. It was time to make some major changes in my personal and professional life.
When my dad died in 2007, he left me a small insurance policy and some key pieces to the puzzle of my past. So I figured, why not use that money and travel for a while? Get out there Eryn, and find yourself… Heal yourself from the past destructive patterns… Unearth the authentic and best version of yourself… Excavate the new you and find the creative outlet that will be your new career… After all, that’s really the best gift you can give yourself – and all others you come in contact with – the healthiest version of yourself! So, go out there… Go… Be!!
So, here I am, going… being… Out here in the world… Experiencing new things, people and places… And having a blast – well most of the time… So, follow me on my journey – who knows where it will take me… Some of my stories are funny and light, some get pretty deep in taking “The Critical Path” to find my highest self… But it’s what I’m living right now, and I just want to bring it to you in the most authentic way possible, so that’s what I’m sharing… The good, the bad, and the ugly…
If you want to follow my story from the beginning, just go to the home page and scroll down to the first post in February and read up…
Thanks again for stopping in for a read… Feel free to comment or share your stories… And who knows, maybe I’ll see you out there in the world 🙂
Wow, your blog is already a best seller! I have Mom reading it now and a girl at work wants to start reading. Dr. D is really enjoying the read also. It will be sad to leave India but the whole world awaits you!!!!

I love that you’re loving it and passing it on… really amazing… Oh, and tell mum Meghan and I were crocheting in that one picture where we were sitting on rocks and only the mountain in the background… She’ll love that 🙂 Love and miss you guys… xxooo
Thanks for making me wade through my “baby brain” and remember the definition of The Crititical Path. It’s a very fitting title!
Hello! Rosemarie gave me your blog, I’m so excited to read it and start following your adventures. I’m so passionate about traveling and have had a few adventures myself, reading about people who are experiencing the world and living out of the box makes my currently very conventional life less unbearable. Good for you and go you, hope you are having a blast!!
Melody
Hi Melody – Any friend of Rosemarie’s is a friend of mine 🙂 Thanks for checking in. HOpe you enjoy the blog – scroll to the bottom and start from the beginning if you can so it all makes sense – mine is about traveling but also my personal journey so some of it may not make sense if you don’t get it from the beginning… And if you can break out of your conventional box, meet me out here in the world!! 🙂
Eryn
Hi Eryn
I have been following you but not commenting. You are amazing if I had been your age when my world blew up I would have been tempted to do what you are doing. Now that you are heading to Ireland be ready to again be surprised by its beauty and history. I loved Dublin and found that I liked Jameson too. Will look forward to your return to Florida and a some time to hear all about you and your new outlook on the world. Hugs be safe.
Hi there Pixie!!! So nice to hear from you… Didn’t know you were following. Yes, I’ve thought about you (and a few others) who had their world blow up and feel so blessed that I had the opportunity to do this and took it… It was scary, but totally worth it… I wished I’d been in China when you and Jeanne went, that would’ve been fun to connect there… If I make it there, I may check in for some tips on China travel… Hope all is well with you love… xxooo
Wow Eryn! very nice blog. enjoying reading about your adventures. you are quite the inspiration :))))
keep it coming…
Lots of Love… xoxo
