Having fallen through
the crack
Life is different and
there are questions.
—Everything is a question—
Assumptions
Habits
Goals
“Truth”
Nothing so sacred it is
exempt.
Instead,
a seductive, terrifying
bewilderment of possibility.
This is the work of my rebuilding.
Sifting through the wreckage,
—asking questions—
Seeing what is still functional,
what must be replaced,
what is no longer as it seemed before.
They say,
“build back better.”
But that is too much obligation for me now.
I am Loving Space,
Cradling the whole catastrophe.
Quietly delighting in the Freedom
of my confession:
